Hi everyone today i would like to post a new blog about Phonology
hope you like it guys!
Phonology is a branch of linguistics ,and defined as a language
study of language sounds by human sounds devices.
Definition of phonology according to Experts :
1. Daniel Jones :
Phonology is the sounds system of a
language.
2. Verhaar :
Phonology has a significant meaning in which a science that studies the special
field of linguistics that
examines the sounds of particular
language in accordance with its functions and be the differentiator
between lexical meaning in a language.
3. Keraf :
Phonology can be interpreted as part of language sturcture that studies the sounds of language.
Function of Phonology
1. know the sound changes in a word spoken.
2. Learn the process of sound formation, delivery / pronouncation.
3. Learn the workings of human organs, especially concerning the
delivery of language.
The Different between Phonology and Phonetic
phonology is the science of a system
in a language. This science is one of the branches of linguistics that deals
with how to pronounce a language.
Phonetic is the science that discusses
how a sound can be formed using several parts of the body namely the lips,
teeth, tongue, pharynx and lungs. This science only discusses the relationship
between body parts that produce sound.
So, that's all from me. Thankyou so much for reading my Blog.Dont forget to give your comment below, so that i can be better on my next Blog.

Hapusjust suggestion , probably in the next post you can add some examples and also you can give more explanation for readers .
Hapusjeje i want to ask why we have to learn about phonology because we know it is study about sound and i think we were born with sound then why we should learn again about this ?
Hapus@naila alfara fisha . thankyou so much for visiting my blog dear😘 .i hope my explanation about the different of phonology and phonetic is usefull for you yeah . see you my dear naila 😘😘 #Jeje💞💞
HapusHai my dear @naila alfara fisha . i apologyzed cause my video is too short for you . and so sorry if my video is too difficult to understand . and i am very very grateful for your advice nayla 😘. I'll try it for my next blog #Jeje💞💞

@naila alfara fisha. Im so sorry if you still can't understand about this material 😭. maybe if you know about this material, i hope you'll help me and we can learn together😁. Wht do you think naila ??? . #Jeje💞💞
Hapushey hey sisa naila .. do you still ask why we have to learn the sound again ??😦😦
HapusYou are right😊 ... very true that we have learned sound since we were little 😊😊... did you before you were here studying morphology do you know that the sound we make has a way to produce good results ??😉😉
of course this morphology helps us to speak English properly and correctly 😆...
do you want to look weird when people hear you speak English not in accordance with the correct words 😉😃😃... ooh I can't imagine🙈🙈🙉

Ooe thakyou radini, I like this😍, but I want ask, then whether he studies phonology from phonetic? or phonetic which examines from phonology?
BalasHapusPHONOLOGY
HapusBy definition, phonology is the science of a system in a language. This science is one of the branches of linguistics related to how to translate languages. Phonology also discusses the history of a language. How the language can appear and disappear.
PHONETIC
Phonetic is the science that discusses how a sound can be formed using several parts of the body namely the lips, teeth, tongue, pharynx and lungs. This science only discusses the relationship between body parts that produce sound. For the formation of a language, production to sound perception will be studied in this one science.

BalasHapusGood evening Jeje...🌜🌜🌜 have you fallen asleep??? I hope you are still awake, so you can read and reply my comment. Regardless of what some of the experts 📚you write down📖, i will know what do you think about phonology???
BalasHapusHi, ellyati rosalia Nainggolan.😁 . thank you for visiting 😘. sorry, because I just had time to reply to your comment. So, not far from the opinion of the experts that I wrote above, in my opinion, phonology is the study of how to produce sound properly and correctly. Thats it . what about you ?? Do you have another opinion about this??lemme know 😍 #Jeje💞💞
Hapushy. thank you for explaining what phonology is, the blog that you write is very useful and neat in every explanation, I'm glad to have read it. for the future hopefully your blog is more developed. good luck to you
BalasHapusHi my dear Thank you for visiting 😘. Although I don't know who you are ,but I am very grateful that you took the time to open my blog and are willing to comment . when I make a new post, Are you willing to visit again and give some comments? 😁#Jeje💞💞
HapusOkay, here we go
BalasHapusJe, this is my first time visiting ur blog. I don't really understand about ur explanation, i've never learn it. But this is related to linguistics, it would be better if u add a video as the main media to deliver it. So u can give examples of how true phonology is & how phonology is wrong more clearly. Cause in general practice is more important than theory. Haha u must know what i mean. Cause of my expectations, u'll be in a video & deliver ur material like an english teacher. But yaaa it's okay. I hope it will be better going forward, i'll wait...
Goodluck for ur blog & always blessed L.Jeje, see u soon :)
Hi Kalvin , Thank you for visiting my blog and thank you for taking the time to read the blog and also make comments 😘😘. I am very sorry if my blog is not in accordance with your expectations. therefore, for the future I will try to realize your expectations in my blog. I hope you'll waiting for this see you my Dear 😘 #Jeje💞💞
BalasHapusSure, i'll wait my teacher L.Jeje😆
HapusHi!! I just wanna say "good",, enough:v
BalasHapusHai gulam 🙋🙋 i think i know who u are
HapusHai jeje , what is the reason you chose phonology as the material you want to discuss? and do you have any other choice besides phonology if so what?
BalasHapusI will reply from you
Hi jeje . How was your day ? 😊 i will give a comment on you blog😆 . So , your explanation too long and make me confused . I cant get the point of your blog . Maybe you can help us to get the pount easily ? Thankyou , see you dear . Pleade reply my comment soon yeah . 😉
BalasHapusPhonology is the study of the patterns of sounds in a language and across languages. Put more formally, phonology is the study of the categorical organisation of speech sounds in languages; how speech sounds are organised in the mind and used to convey meaning. In this section of the website, we will describe the most common phonological processes and introduce the concepts of underlying representations for sounds versus what is actually produced, the surface form.
BalasHapusPhonology can be related to many linguistic disciplines, including psycholinguistics, cognitive science, sociolinguistics and language acquisition. Principles of phonology can also be applied to treatments of speech pathologies and innovations in technology. In terms of speech recognition, systems can be designed to translate spoken data into text. In this way, computers process the language like our brains do. The same processes that occur in the mind of a human when producing and receiving language occur in machines.
BalasHapusHow are sounds organized into syllables?
BalasHapusWith the use of phonological trees syllables are broken up more easily. Syllables are made up of a rhyme and an onset (any consonants before the rhyme). The rhyme made up of a nucleus (the vowel sound(s) in the syllable, the key component of all syllables) and a coda (any consonants following the nucleus).
What are the differences between languages?
BalasHapusFor example, different languages can used different phonemes, or different syllable structures (what sounds can go together to make sequences or words) and phonology identifies these differences.
phonology describes the way sounds function within a given language and operates at the level of sound systems and abstract sound units. Knowing the sounds of a language is only a small part of phonology. This importance is shown by the fact that you can change one word into another by simply changing one sound
BalasHapusSome words in English are pronounced differently by different speakers. This is most noticeable among American English speakers and British English speakers, as well as dialectal differences. This is evidenced in the ways neither
BalasHapusAssimilation: sounds become more like neighboring sounds, allowing for ease of articulation or pronunciation; such as vowels are nasalized before nasal consonants
BalasHapus- Harmony: non-adjacent vowels become more similar by sharing a feature or set of features (common in Finnish)
An interesting observation of assimilation rules is evidenced in the formation of plurals and the past tense in English. When pluralizing nouns, the last letter is pronounced as either [s], [z], or [əz]. When forming past tenses of verbs, the -ed ending is pronounced as either [t], [d], [əd]. If you were to sort words into three columns
BalasHapusThere are three peaks to a syllable: nucleus (vowel), onset (consonant before nucleus) and coda (consonant after nucleus.) The onset and coda are both optional, meaning that a syllable could contain a vowel and nothing else. The nucleus is required in every syllable by definition
BalasHapushi radini angel, you'r angel in my heart
BalasHapushi jeje, I heard your pronunciation is good, your voice is also like an artist.
my advice never be arrogant for the praise of others and stay humble. it will be good for you
